I am pleased to announce that I am riding in the 2019 Israel Ride.
I will be riding from Jerusalem to Eilat, 250 miles, to raise funds for two outstanding organizations. The Arava Institute for Environmental Studies funds Israeli, Palestinian and Jordanian students and Hazon provides educational programs that connect environmental issues to Jewish tradition. The Arava Institute exists to ensure that environmental challenges provide a catalyst for dialogue, cooperation, and trust rather than violence and conflict. Hazon works in local communities and institutions to create greening initiatives, collaborate on educational programming, and bring sustainability efforts to new audiences.
I have committed to raise at least $3950 towards this cause, and your contribution is greatly appreciated. Would you consider making a donation at whatever level you are able?
Dennis Ross, "The Arava Institute is one of the few places where Israelis, Palestinians and Jordanians work together on concrete projects on water, purification, and waste water treatment. At the moment, there’s no peace process, and what needs to be done is to restore to all sides the feeling that there are other things that can be done, and the fact that Israelis, Palestinians and Jordanians sit together and try to solve specific problems and to achieve cooperation in order to improve the lives of others – that’s something positive.”
Thanks for your support!
