Please support Arava and Hazon as I cycle in Israel. The Israel Ride 2019.
In Nov 2019, I (Steve Schermerhorn) will join 100s of other cyclists as we will ride from Jerusalem to Eilat, 350 miles in total, exploring Israel and learning about the work of two great organizations: the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies and Hazon. Both promote peace and sustainability in the region through education.
I have committed to raise at least $4000 $6300 towards this worthy cause.Initial response has been so strong that I have raised my goal to 18 (chai) x 350.
"Chai" is the Hebrew word for "Life" and is associated with '18.' 350 miles on the bike, $18 per mile is $6300.

Thank you for your support!
This will be my third visit to Israel. I want to be able to see Israel in the most appropriate way, and for me that is cycling. Cycling is the perfect way to explore about just about any landscape. Using your muscles to get over the terrain, and traveling at exactly the right speed to see the land. What could be better than spending time with like-minded people in support of international education that brings together Jews and Arabs in Eretz Yisroel? Even if you can't be there, you can still support me and the work of Arava and Hazon. Toda raba (Thank you).
