I am pleased to announce that I am riding in the 2018 Israel Ride.
In honor of my 60th Birthday (hard to believe), I will be riding from Jerusalem to Eilat, between 150 and 350 miles, exploring Israel and learning about the work two great organizations. Proceeds raised by participating cyclists go to support the ride sponsors, the Arava Institute of Environmental Studies in Israel, and Hazon here in the United States. Both are organizations with environmentalism and sustainability as a core part of their respective missions.
This is my first time in the Israel Ride and I’d be grateful for your help. I’ve committed to raising at least $4,000 for these two organizations and, with your support, I am confident that I can meet - if not exceed - that number. In addition to my own charitable contribution in support of my ride, I am also underwriting my travel and hotel expenses, and all my incidentals, for what will amount to ten days in Israel and more than $5,000. So, in lieu of a birthday present, please mark my 60th birthday with a contribution.
Thanks for your support!
