2019 Israel Ride

TwOfaneiRiders

In November 2019, we will be participating in a 150-350 mile bike ride throughout Israel on The Israel Ride. We are looking forward to the challenge, and are thrilled to raise money for two important organizations, the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies and Hazon, both promoting environmental protection in Israel and the US.

The primary beneficiary of the Israel Ride is the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies. The Arava Institute is a leading environmental and academic institution in the Middle East dedicated to preparing future Israeli, Palestinian, and Jordanian leaders to work with others around the world to cooperatively solve the regional and global challenges of our time. The Arava Institute draws students from across the Middle East, encouraging environmental cooperation between peoples, and working towards peace and sustainable development on a regional and global scale. To learn more about the work of the Arava Institute, or about the environmental movement in Israel, check out http://www.arava.org.

The second beneficiary of the Israel Ride is Hazon, one of most innovative organizations in the American Jewish community and now the largest Jewish environmental organization in the United States. Hazon is the Jewish lab for sustainability. They create healthier and more sustainable communities in the Jewish world and beyond. Through bike rides, food conferences, and other Jewish sustainability programs, Hazon brings people together, builds community, and promotes sustainability and vibrant Jewish life. You can learn more at www.hazon.org.

With your generosity and our pedaling, we can support Israel at this important time. You can donate by credit card by clicking the link below, or send us a check made out to "Friends of the Arava Institute." Our address is 38 Claremont Drive, Maplewood, New Jersey 07040

We will keep you posted on our training along the way and are planning on posting from the road during the trip.

Thank you in advance for your support.

B'shalom,

Beth & Rob
