I am pleased to announce that I am riding in the 2019 Israel Ride - my second!
Cyclists will be riding from Jerusalem to Eilat, between 150 and 350 miles, exploring Israel and learning about the work two great organizations, the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies (in Israel) and Hazon (a Jewish Sustainability lab based in the US). Both are recognized by, and strategic partners with, the Jewish National Fund (JNF).
I have had the opportunity to come to know these two organizations and I must say - as someone who is moderate to right wing in my views on protecting Israel - while these organizations have many people who are left-of-center in their leadership, they are truly SO inclusive as to give me hope (Hatikva anyone?) that one day - all sides who suffer from the lack of peace in the middle east - can come together more and more - in spite of it all - and accomplish great things. It takes leadership and these two organizations, and this bike ride, are VERY WELL LED.
I am raising the bar and trying to raise at least $3950 towards this cause, and your contribution is greatly appreciated. Would you consider making a donation at whatever level you are able? All contributions are greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your support!
